The following image is of Dr.Sanduk Ruit who is an opthalmologist from Nepal who has restored the sights of over 130,000 people across Africa and Asia using small-incision cataract surgery.
I really like the photos you chose for this assignment, because they can all be considered relatively "good" before analyzing them. The "important" photo is a pleasing image and is definitely meaningful due to the location, but the technique may prevent it from being even better. I say this only because of the framing of the tree directly in the center and the dark space in the foreground. The "interesting" photo is technically very strong and can likely be considered "good." I like how the people in the background seem very uniform in their colors, and it would become even better if the subject stood out more. The "like" photo actually happens to be my favorite! I think it's good because of the composition. The line of hikers seems to follow the ridge leading up to the peak in the upper left-hand corner. The eye moves around the image very naturally and I also enjoy the story it tells. The "useful" photo is both inspiring and "good." The colors of the clothing are aesthetically pleasing and tie into the mountains in the back, while also doing a good job of creating a narrative.
