I think the image that sticks out most to me is the white image with the takeout container. For your black images, I wonder if the first one is almost too underexposed- I am having a hard time seeing what. you are photographing. I think photographing the railing is a great idea! Maybe try to work with the photos in lightroom to make them appear more gray than black. Overall, nice job!
I like the two railing pictures, I think the second one is the stronger of the two. I also recommend cropping it a bit. You should continue to take picture's similar to the railing, your other images are a little harder to comprehend because some of them are a little to exposed or underexposed. I recommend adjusting the exposure a little bit in lightroom, and I believe they will be stronger images. Good set of initial images overall.
The photos of the rails are definitely your strongest! The thin defined line of white is a stark contrast to the background, and it works super well. I especially like the second photo because of the way it is centered in the frame. Are the first two photos your midtone grey ones? I think it would work well if you brought the exposure down and turned them into the mostly black photographs. Also, your white photos turned out well! I like how you can only see the outline of the shapes, it gives the photos an atmospheric feel. Great start!
