Exposure as a visual metaphor- Mahim Dahal

  1. I really enjoy the under exposed photographs. I feel like the darkness enhances the detail. The picture of the arena and cracked door speak to me the most.

  2. I really like your photos. The first two photographs I believe are your strongest overexposed pictures. The sun is hitting the branches just right in both, making very aesthetically pleasing photographs. I also thought it was a good decision to make the second one black and white. Your strongest underexposed picture, is the 5th one, the one with a group of branches, this is a solid photograph. It could be further improved by further sharpening the image.

  3. I like how you are exploring light in these images Mahim. Your fifth and sixth images really pique my curiosity because you hide the real-world subject and focus more on the subject's tonal properties.
One thing that I might suggest is to make all of these images black and white. I understand that the first image is supposed to be a part of the white set. However, I do not know what set you intended the second to last image to belong to, since it focuses more on color than tone. Overall nice work! I can't wait to see how you develop what you have right now.
